Coucou, je m’appelle Isabelle, an experienced French native teacher based in Brisbane.
Originally from a little town in the South of Belgium, one-hour away from the French border, my teaching journey began with a passion for languages and travelling. At 17, I faced the challenge of learning English during a exchange program in Australia. Despite the hurdles, I found invaluable mentors who not only helped me navigate language nuances and gain confidence but also sparked in me the desire to teach others.
Returning to Belgium, I specialised in teaching French to non-native speakers, working in language schools and Alliance Française centers where I learned precious teaching strategies and methods.
My teaching journey led me to South America before settling in Brisbane, Australia.
One of the highlights of my job is witnessing the progress my students make. I believe language is the key to cultural understanding and genuine connections.
